H.E Gligor Tashkovich

Minister Tashkovich has a BA and dual-major MBA degrees from Cornell University where he is also a member of the Cornell University Council.

Gligor Tashkovich is the former Minister for Foreign Investment of the Republic of (now North) Macedonia from 2006-2008 across ten industry sectors. During his tenure, he attracted USD $1.5 billion of new foreign direct investment in the 3rd poorest country in Europe sharply raising the national GDP. He holds three securities licenses that allow him to raise money for hedge funds and privately-held companies. He recently finished a two year term as a member of the Committee for the Approval of Investments for the sovereign North Macedonian Innovation and Technological Development Fund. In that role, his committee invested USD $60 million in some 310 companies in North Macedonia. He has served on eleven OSCE/ODIHR election monitoring missions and for the New York City Board of Elections as an Assembly District Monitor. Entrepreneurial projects include being part of teams that built the Internet and other infrastructure projects worldwide as well as working for the 2nd largest computer company in the world, the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development, and other prominent institutions.
